Shadow Ocean is a serialized sci-fi audio drama written and performed by Azakaela Erin Redfire, set in a mythic, high-concept universe where alchemical ships sail an iridescent sea of shadow known as the Umbra. Follow Captain Ra’ala and her crew as they navigate dying engines, forbidden cargo, and mysterious whispers from the Below—and follow Kaena, the exiled Keeper of a distant lighthouse, haunted by visions and the ever-deepening pull of the Umbra. Part hard sci-fi, part poetic myth, Shadow Ocean explores memory, exile, trust, and the call of the unknown. Each episode adapts several “frames” from the written novella, weaving immersive narration and performance into a cosmic journey of peril, longing, and revelation.
